# Customer groups

> Segment Customers in 86d for targeted pricing, promotions, and content. B2B groups, VIPs, employees, and any custom segmentation you need.

The Customer Groups [Module](/docs/concepts/modules) attaches [Customers](/docs/resources/glossary#customer) to one or more groups: B2B, VIP, employee, beta tester, anything you define. `@86d-store/price-lists` uses groups for segment-specific pricing, `@86d-store/discounts` uses them for group-only promo codes, and your own MDX can use them to gate content.
