# Fulfillment

> Evaluate the current Experimental Fulfillment records: post-purchase delivery obligations and how they relate to Orders and Shipping.

  **Experimental.** Current Order and Shipping projections do not yet implement the complete Fulfillment boundary. Use it for local or sandbox evaluation. See [maturity levels](/docs/resources/versioning).

The Fulfillment [Module](/docs/concepts/modules) records post-purchase delivery obligations and the source [Order](/docs/concepts/commerce-model) lines each one covers. The current implementation models every Fulfillment as a physical shipment moving through a fixed set of statuses.

## Installation

```

## Admin endpoints

| Method | Path                              | Description                                             |
| ------ | --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| `GET`  | `/admin/fulfillment`              | List Fulfillment records, optionally filtered by status |
| `POST` | `/admin/fulfillment/create`       | Create a Fulfillment for selected line items            |
| `POST` | `/admin/fulfillment/:id/status`   | Set the current status                                  |
| `POST` | `/admin/fulfillment/:id/tracking` | Add carrier and tracking details                        |
| `POST` | `/admin/fulfillment/:id/cancel`   | Cancel a Fulfillment                                    |

## Events

| Event                   | When               |
| ----------------------- | ------------------ |
| `fulfillment.created`   | Fulfillment opened |
| `fulfillment.shipped`   | Tracking added     |
| `fulfillment.delivered` | Delivery confirmed |

These events reflect the current implementation. Check [cross-module communication](/docs/concepts/architecture#how-modules-talk-to-each-other) before you rely on them for delivery guarantees.
