# Returns

> Customer return requests for 86d: refund, exchange, or store credit, approved and refunded through the Payments Module.

The Returns [Module](/docs/concepts/modules) is return merchandise authorization (RMA). A [Customer](/docs/resources/glossary#customer) requests a return from their [Order](/docs/concepts/commerce-model) detail page. The request then moves through `requested -> approved -> shipped_back -> received -> refunded -> completed`, or ends at `rejected`. Refunds run through the [Payments](/docs/modules/payments) Module (`@86d-store/payments`), and an exchange creates a new Order automatically.

| `POST` | `/admin/returns/:id/refund`  | Issue refund (full or partial) |
