# Shipping

> Evaluate current Experimental Shipping zones, rate records, and live-carrier code.

  **Experimental.** This Module does not establish a complete production path for quotes, labels, refunds, tracking, and postage adjustments. Use it for local or sandbox evaluation. See [maturity levels](/docs/resources/versioning).

The current Shipping [Module](/docs/concepts/modules) lets you configure zones and their rates: flat, weight-based, price-based, or live-carrier. [Checkout](/docs/concepts/commerce-model) can request matching rates during a purchase.

## Installation

## Store endpoints

| Method | Path                  | Description                                                   |
| ------ | --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `POST` | `/shipping/calculate` | Calculate configured rates for a destination and Order values |

## Admin endpoints

| `GET`  | `/admin/shipping/zones`               | List zones           |
| `POST` | `/admin/shipping/zones/create`        | Create a zone        |
| `POST` | `/admin/shipping/zones/:id/rates/add` | Add a rate to a zone |

## Live carrier rates

The repository contains provider code for live rate evaluation. Quotes exist for USPS Priority Mail evaluation. Label purchase, `buyShipment`, mutating webhooks, and refunds remain unavailable. Use sandbox credentials only: a provider package or a successful API response does not establish Stable behavior for quoting, label purchase, refunds, tracking, webhooks, or postage adjustments.
